HTC EVO 4G Versus iPhone 4G

After the announcement of the new Apple iPhone 4G, there are different topics and issues that came into consideration. One the important aspect, that is becoming a hot issue, is the differences and choice between iPhone 4 and already existing technology of same kind, HTC EVO 4G. After the iPhone 4 announcement, people are thinking the differences and features of both devices to make a good comparison between them.

When comes to the specifications, both handsets are the masterpieces from their respective companies. Apple is the owner and manufacturer of the iPhone where as HTC is the maker of EVO. Typically, Apple has an edge due to its customers market, having millions of customers that already exist. HTC is a new company in this field as compared to the Apple. But still HTC is considered to be the only main competitor of the Apple.

When comparing, the first thing that should be noted is the operating system of both the devices. Apple is using operating system 4, also called iOS 4, which is also used in iPod. This is very popular and famous OS due to its advance features and options. HTC is using an operating system which can be updated automatically, without even doing anything. It also has a very useful and competitive operating system as compared to Apple. In the second category, performance will be the key factor. HTC is said to be using a system with a high speed using a 1000 MHZ processor. Apple is a little behind in this field as it has slower processors that HTC. Although not bad with the speed, but when it comes to a comparison, Apple is lagging the comparison in the field of speed and performance.

It should also be of great interest that EVO4 contains a slot for memory card and support a card of up to 32 GB memory. Apple iPhone has its own internal memory of different sizes, but do not support any external memory card. This feature also supports EVO in the field of performance as addition of an external memory option is a good one.

When it comes to display, EVO has a larger screen than iPhone 4, but it is using older version of LCD. iPhone has a rate of 326 pixels per inch which means a very much better picture quality and display. iPhone has a screen resolution of 960*640. So here HTC has weaknesses, but there are some other options too regarding the display. HTC has a direct outlet to connect it to the television. This feature is not available in the iPhone, although a very useful one. iPhone support a hull HD video recording which is a very advanced technique and this feature is absent in HTC EVO 4.

There are also some other features that can be compared. For example, EVO 4 comes with a side stand to place HTC in standing posture when playing a movie on it. This feature is missing in iPhone. Another option is of the battery. EVO is said to have a long battery timing than iPhone, although in iPhone 4, they have increased the battery life, now it is difficult to compare about that. Also battery of HTC is removable while in Apple iPhone, you cannot remove the battery from the mobile.

These are some of the major features of both the devices. HTC has launched its EVO 4 on 6th June and iPhone will be released on 24th June.
